What is a prostate cancer screening?

A screening includes a doctor’s exam that looks for lumps, swelling, or tenderness, and a simple blood test.

Who should be screened?

It is recommended that men older than age 50 be screened annually. African-Americans and men with a family history of prostate cancer may want to seek screening at age 45 or younger.

This project is funded by the PA Department of Health, Edward G Rendell, Governor
